By Brian Garrison – Springfield, MO (May 11, 2013) – Ryan Gustin of Marshalltown, IA found victory lane at Springfield Raceway this past Saturday night. Gustin, a USMTS National Champion is no stranger to victory lane, however this was Gustin’s first win ever in a late model.
Gustin jumped to the lead early and held back 6-time MARS champion Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO en-route to the $3,000 payday. Phillips would settle for second place.
Jesse Stovall of Billings, MO; Brantlee Gotschall of Nevada, MO and Jason Bodenhammer of Centerview, MO rounded out the top five.
The MARS Series will be at Monett Speedway in Monett, MO on Sunday May 26th for the 13th Annual Tony Roper Memorial.
