(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) Randy Korte and the Riggs Motorsports team celebrated in victory lane for the second time in 2013 on Saturday night, May 18 at the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri! After finishing third in his heat race, Randy started the weekly UMP DIRTcar Series feature event from the outside of the front row. The Highland, Illinois standout then wheeled his #81k Rocket entry to the $1,200 victory over Michael Kloos, Brian Diveley, Scott Weber, and Jason McBride!
Earlier in the weekend, Randy competed in main events at the Charleston Speedway in Charleston, Illinois and the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. The popular driver known as “King Kong” finished eighth in a $2,000 to win American Late Model Series show on Thursday at Charleston, while he suffered rear suspension problems in a weekly event at Granite City on Friday, which led to a disappointing nineteenth place performance. The Riggs Motorsports team will be out in full force over the upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend.
