World of Outlaws Late Model SeriesPhoenix, AZ (June 25, 2013) Kennedy Motorsports (KMS) drivers Shane Clanton, Zebulon, GA and Tim Fuller, Watertown, NY are set to invade Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA for the 7th Annual ‘Firecracker 100’ presented by GottaRace.com on Thursday – Friday – Saturday, June 27 – 28 – 29. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series event will pay $30,000 to the winner on Saturday after two preliminary, $6,000 to-win events on Thursday and Friday.

Both KMS drivers are no strangers to Lernerville’s ‘Sheetz Victory Lane’ as both Clanton and Fuller have won at the Sarver, PA 4/10mi oval. Clanton, became a firecracker champion in 2010 along with winning an All Star Late Model Series event there, also in 2010. Fuller was victorious at the famed ‘Action Track’ with the Super Dirt Series and his Big Block Modified.

‘Lernerville is one of my favorite tracks we go to,’ Fuller, who sits fifth in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series point standings, said. ‘We’ve had four top-ten’s in our past six starts including a heat win at Eldora at the beginning of the month. I think our program has improved over the past month or so and we’ve started getting better results. I’m looking forward to this year’s Firecracker more this year than I have in the past. It should be a good weekend for us.’

Clanton, does have a love/hate relationship with Lernerville. His 2010 Firecracker 100 win is, of course, a reason to love it, but Clanton has also been bitten by Lernerville’s front stretch wall. In 2005, Shane smacked the wall out of turn four; the contact led to a separated shoulder for the ‘Georgia Bulldog’ and sidelined him from competition for an extended period and left him 10th in World of Outlaws Late Model Series points after missing seven events due to the injury.

‘Winning the Firecracker in 2010 has erased all memories of that 2005 incident,’ Clanton exclaimed. ‘We’ve been good the past few weeks and have been in the top-five more often than not the past few weeks and we’ve been pretty consistent on the Outlaws tour all year.’ Shane sits just 22 points behind point leader Josh Richards. ‘We’re really looking forward to the Firecracker, our Capital Race Car was really good there all three nights last year and we came on strong towards the end of the 100 lapper last year. We just need to qualify well and get ourselves in a good position to start the race and I think we’ll have a shot at it.’

New Kennedy Motorsports apparel from Slavic Custom Racing Apparel will be available at this upcoming weekend’s Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com. A full line of shirts, hats, and other merchandise is available for both Shane Clanton and Tim Fuller. Merchandise will be available at the Slavic Custom Racing Apparel trailer and each driver’s trailer. Merchandise will also be available at the official online home of Kennedy Motorsports, www.kennedymotorsports.us, in the very near future.

After the Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com, the KMS team’s will head west for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series ‘Wild West Tour’. The tour will kick off on July 5 and run through July 12 and will feature stops at Amsoil Speedway in Superior, WI, Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN, Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, SD, Gillette Thunder Speedway in Gillette, WY, Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND.
