Brownstown Speedway(BROWNSTOWN, INDIANA) The legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana is gearing up to host one of their busiest weeks of the racing season during the upcoming Jackson County Grand Champion Fair. In addition to holding the Fair Queen Pageant, Spelling Bee, Demolition Derby, Tractor & Pick-Up Pull, and a Concert, the grandstands at the Brownstown Speedway will also greet patrons for a pair of racing events at the 1/4-mile, semi-banked oval.

On Thursday evening, July 25, a special “Thursday Night Thunder” program will thrill the fans, as the ILMS Crate Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Super Stocks, and the MMSA Mini-Sprints will be in competition. A $1,025 top prize has been established for the winner of the ILMS Crate Late Model feature event. The program, which is being sponsored by Brownstown Speedway and King’s Trucking and Excavation, starts at 7:00 p.m. Grandstand admission will be $15.00 for adults, $2.00 for children ages 6-12, and those kids 6 and under will be admitted for free with a paying adult.

Following a day off from racing action on Friday for locals to enjoy rising country music star Clayton Anderson in concert, things will heat back up at the south-central Indiana speedplant on Saturday night, July 27. The annual Jackson County Grand Champion Fair Race will double as the inaugural running of the ‘Paul Crockett Memorial’ on Saturday. Super Late Models will headline the card, as the ground-pounders will be racing for $2,500 to win / $225.00 to start in a 25-lap main event. Paul’s last Dirt Late Model will be on hand throughout the fair, so be sure to check that out and pay homage to the late Brownstown Speedway Hall of Famer.

Also on hand with the 800+ horsepower Super Late Models will be the UMP Modifieds, UMP Super Stocks, Hornets, Pure Stocks, and Mini-Stocks. The huge six-division program is being sponsored by the Jackson County Fair and will start at 7:00 p.m. Grandstand admission will once again be $15.00 for adults, $2.00 for children ages 6-12, and those kids 6 and under will be admitted for free with a paying adult.

As is always the case, race fans will also be able to enjoy one of the finer county fairs in the state of Indiana, while also witnessing some of the best dirt-slinging action in the country. From a wide selection of amusement rides and games to a vast array of foods and drinks, there will be an endless amount of things to do and see during your visit to the Jackson County Grand Champion Fair races!
