(Moberly, Mo) – Lucas Cattle Company ULMA racing returns in a big way this Saturday at Moberly, Missouri’s Randolph County Raceway (RCR), where the track late model special is set to pay a $1,000 to win! The event, which has dotted the schedule since the season schedule was first unveiled was originally one of two track special events at RCR giving the weekly racer a chance to earn extra money; however the first event was halted by persistent wet weather. After a week off at RCR, fans will be longing to see who makes the trek north to run on the RCR high banks.

ULMA along with Maxey Racing Team are proud supporters of Homes for our Troops and the two entities will participate in another fund-raising event for injured Missouri veterans at RCR this Saturday. A special balloon release will take place prior to the night’s main event in remembrance of fallen service members.

Special drawings for donated items and a 50/50 ticket drawing will take place with all proceeds going directly to Homes for our Troops. “Paying it Forward” means all funds that are raised on this night will be designated for a Missouri Veteran in need of a specialty built home.

In supporting our severely injured veterans we are giving back their independence and freedom. This is ULMA’s and RCR’s way of saying Thank You for making it possible for us to be here and for the sacrifices they have made for us. To learn more about Homes for our Troops visit their website at https://www.hfotusa.org.

Vance Wilson has dominated this season at RCR and has four wins in a row along with a runner-up finish to Kenny Mudd, the only other late model pilot to visit victory lane this season at RCR. Be sure to visit the track online for a complete schedule by pointing your web browser to www.randolphcountyraceway.com or call 660-833-1727 for race status and additional information.

Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Missouri, held their Friday night race program last weekend and once again it was Vance Wilson who claimed the victory. Wilson’s latest trip to victory lane was the Quincy, Illinois driver’s second win at the track and first since he claimed the top spot back on June 21.

Wilson led a familiar face across the stripe at the conclusion of the 20-lap main event as track points leader Payton Looney, who also has two victories at the track, came away in second. Larry Winn turned in one of his strongest performances of the year by finishing third; Earl Roark and Chris Lapp also posted top-five finishes. Completing the top ten were Justin Russell, Chris Cox, Cliff Powell, Jon Melloway, and Ashlee Lancaster.

Callaway Raceway resumes their weekly program this Friday, July 26. Track information is available by contacting track owner and promoter Betty Atterberry at (573) 220-1751. The track race status phone line is (573) 592-7795.

With a stout field of 22 competitors on hand Saturday evening at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, Mother Nature foiled the night shortly after the late model heat races were contested. Prior to wet weather arriving, Jon Binning, Andy Kennedy, and Jason Russell won their respective heat races.

ULMA late models return to action at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, on Saturday, August 3 in which the makeup feature race from last weekend’s rainout will be ran first with the cars that were checked in based on their heat race performances. Then, there will be an all-new program for the night’s normally scheduled races. Call the track at 417-282-5984 or log onto the website at www.lucasoilspeedway.com for a complete schedule of events and race night information.

ULMA licensing is mandatory at all sanctioned tracks, no exceptions! Drivers must present their license on arrival when checking in at all tracks. Visit www.ulmaracing.com for scheduling, full results, information, stats, rules, and to print and complete the 2013 form prior to competing.
