Double Dose of Pro Late Model Action This Saturdat At LEBANON I-44 SPEEDWAY

(LEBANON, Mo.) – With the 2013 campaign racing toward the finishline. Lebanon I-44 Speedway feature an O’Reilly Auto Parts NASCAR Pro Late Models double dip to highlight Saturday’s full slate of racing action. Due to a handful of rainouts over the season’s opening couple of months, track officials have decided to run a pair of pro late model features in some upcoming events over the course of the remainder of the season to help drivers hit the 18-race threshold required to garner eligibility for NASCAR’s prestigious state title designations.

“We’ve had our issues with weather so far this year,” said Lebanon I-44 Speedway General Manager Kevin Greven. “In order to get these drivers across that proverbial finish line and in contention for the NASCAR HomeTrack awards, the late models must race 18 times, and we’re going to have to double up on features a few times before the end of the season. This is an exciting twist for drivers and teams, and even better for fans attending Missouri’s only asphalt oval, as they’ll see their local heroes in action twice as much.”

While the stars and cars of the O’Reilly Auto Parts NASCAR Pro Late Models will lead the way during Saturday’s action, the Budweiser Modifieds and Monster Energy Sportsman, as well as the track’s two entry-level classes, the Hoosier Tire Road Warriors and Coca-Cola Chargers, comprise a full undercard that promises to pack a punch on a night chock full of excitement. Spectator gates open up at 5:00 p.m., with a full slate of NASCAR Whelen All-American Weekly Series stock car racing scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. on the 3/8th-mile high banked oval.

Lebanon I-44 Speedway offers an alcohol-free grandstand, featuring aluminum seating with seat-backs, along with the “Fan Deck” that does offer beer where patrons and groups may view the races in a very comfortable area. Known amongst I-44 race fans as the ‘Budweiser Wild Side’, beer may be brought in by fans to the tier parking areas, while full food and non-alcoholic beverage concessions are available in both the grandstands and tier parking, along with a souvenir and track apparel stand.

Admission prices for the Monster Energy grandstands will remain just $10 for Adults, ages 16 and older, in the grandstands while Adult admission on the ‘Budweiser Wild Side’ will remain just $15. Discounted admission will be offered in both locations for Military members with an ID present, as well as Seniors (ages 65 and older) and Juniors (ages 11-15), and Children (ages 10 and younger) will be admitted for free. A grandstand Family Pass for two Adults and two Juniors plus any number of Children is available for $25, while six Adults entering in the same vehicle on tiered parking will be admitted to the ‘Budweiser Wild Side’ for $75.

“Perhaps the best part of this whole deal is the ticket prices,” said Greven. “We decided not to raise the price so that fans could bring their whole family out and enjoy the double dose of late model action. You will not find more bang for the buck anywhere in Mid-Missouri, especially on a weekend night.”

Lebanon I-44 Speedway is located four miles east of the Lebanon city limits on Historic Route 66 and Missouri’s only NASCAR sanctioned facility. Patrons using Interstate 44 may take Exit 135 and then drive approximately one mile east on Route 66 to the track’s main entrance. Additional information about this event, including a full schedule of events, the rules being enforced, and a purse distribution, will be released on the facility’s official website, www.i44speedway.net in the coming weeks.
