For Dalziel, he was overcome by the magnitude of winning the race at Indianapolis.
“I did not know if I should kiss everyone or kiss the bricks,” said Dalziel. “I am happy for Alex, it is unbelievable to win 2 times.”
The Chip Ganassi entry driven by Scot Pruett and Memo Rojas came in second place but they claimed a $100,000 prize for winning the North American Endurance Championship.
“I’m still trying to figure out how to get to the top of the podium after racing here so many times in Indy cars and NASCAR,” said Pruett wondering what takes to win at Indianapolis Speedway.
Max Papis and Jeff Segal driving for Ferrari won the GT. This was the first victory for Ferrari in 2013. Papis too enjoyed the victory to its fullest, kissing the hood of his car and then famed row bricks multiple times.
