northsouthlogowebWAYCROSS, GA (August 6, 2013) – As the premier national tour for dirt late models heats up in the month of August, this weekend’s Sunoco North/South 100 – Presented by Lucas Oil will pay a whopping $50,000 to the winner Saturday night. This event will also award valuable points in two separate point categories that will pay cash bonuses for each category. Both point categories, The ASi Crown Jewel Cup – Presented by DirtonDirt.com and the SWEET Mfg TV Challenge – Presented by E3 Spark Plugs will award points at this weekend’s North/South 100

The ASi Crown Jewel Cup -Presented by DirtonDirt.com is a nine race mini-series within the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series that awards points to drivers at these crown jewel events on the series schedule. Heading into this weekend’s mega event, Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN leads the quest for the ASi Crown Jewel Cup – Presented by DirtonDirt.com point standings over John Blankenship and Steve Francis.

“We really appreciate what the series has done to put together these additional bonuses for us, the drivers to compete for. Having ASi and DirtonDirt step up and sponsor this program is a huge plus for us, the series and the fans. Hopefully we not only can win another North/South 100, but increase our lead in the Crown Jewel Cup points as well”, stated Jimmy Owens, driver of the #20 Mike Reese owned dirt late model.
