What: The All American Hot Rod Showdown presented by your Mid-America Chevy Dealers is coming to Gateway Motorsports Park August 9 – 11, 2013, featuring the night of Fire and Thunder!
The family-friendly event brings together America’s best muscle cars from all corners of the country including 200-mile per hour Pro Mods and Pro Street racers. These full-bodied, door slammers will feature drivers including St. Louis’s own Jerry Hunt and Mark Woodruff. Gateway Motorsports Park is the only track in the country that hosts all three manufacturer series events, with the grand finale that brings them all together including Chevy, Ford, Dodge and Chrysler.
The featured attraction of the All American Hot Rod Showdown will be a jet car showdown between drivers Tony Franco Sr. and Tony Franco Jr., a father and son duo from Oxnard, California! This is the first ever Gateway MSP appearance of, arguably, the greatest jet car team on the planet. They will run Saturday night at 6:00pm, 8:00pm and 10:00pm. This is the last chance of the season to see these incredible screaming machines.
The track will host an all-day Pit Party and Car Show with an up close and personal display with hundreds of classic cars. Do you have a Ford, Chevy, Chrysler or Dodge-powered vehicle you love?
