The MARS DIRTcar Series and the top drivers from the UMP DIRTcar Series will go head to head this weekend August 23 – 24, 2013 at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, KY and Federated Auto Parts Raceway in Pevely, MO. Both races will have group qualifying / time trials to set the heat races. Tire rule is Front tires Hoosier LM-20, Hoosier LM-40 or WRS-55 ONLY. Rear tires Hoosier LM-40 and WRS-55 ONLY.
The countdown is on for Paducah International Raceway’s prime attraction- the USA World 50- on Friday, August 23rd in a MARS vs. UMP Challenge with a $5,000 Grand Prize. 2012 winner Jason Feger of Bloomington, IL is expected to return to defend his title.
Pit Gates open at 4:00 PM. Grandstands open at 5:00 PM. Hot Laps are at 6:30 PM. Qualifying is at 7:00 PM, with Racing at 7:30 PM. The inaugural USA World 50 was held in 1978. Former race winners include Jerry Inman, Tom Helfrich, Larry Moore, Russ Petro, Phil Gregory, NASCAR veteran Jeff Purvis, and former UMP National Champions Terry English, Shannon Babb and Brian Shirley. On Saturday, August 24th – Federated Auto Parts Raceway (formerly I-55 Raceway) in Pevely, MO, is a high banked 1/3 mile dirt oval known for its lightening quick side by side racing, will host the $5,000 to win John Mannlein Memorial presented by Valvoline. Support classes will include the UMP Modifieds, UMP / AARA Sportsman & UMP / AARA Pro 4 Stocks. Grandstand admission is $25 with kids 12 years and younger FREE. Pit passes will be $30.
