Ponderosa SpeedwayJunction City, KY-August 23, 2013- Ponderosa Speedway would present the 6th Annual Friday Night Rumble presented by Neat’s Service Center on Friday evening and Mike Marlar of Winfield, TN would become the second two-time winner of the event by taking the win and the $7,500 payday for Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models. Other feature event winners included Benji Lee of Loretto, KY in Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds and Glen Hounshell, Jr. of Mount Vernon, KY picked up the win in D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman.

Jackie Boggs would take the lead at the start of the 60 lap Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Model main event and would open up a lead early on and would start working slower traffic on lap 9, with ninth place starting Mike Marlar up to second, 11th place starter Dustin Neat third, followed by Steve Francis and Dustin Linville. Marlar would take the lead from Boggs one trip later and the caution waved on lap 12 as Victor Lee slowed with smoke from his car on the frontchute. Boggs would retake the lead from Marlar on the restart and would hold the top spot and again began working traffic by lap 20, while 17th starting Derek Fisher had charged his way to the fourth position. Greg Johnson would draw the caution on lap 23 after contact with the wall in turn three and the restart would only stay green for two lap when Jeff Watson would stop with a flat left-rear tire in turn three. The restart would see Dustin Neat take the race lead away from Marlar as Boggs began to fade and slowed on the backchute on lap 28 and would pull pitside for the evening. The restart would see Fisher slip back a bit and spin in turn one and collect Josh McGuire as well, with both able to continue. After another false restart when David Webb looped his mount, action would go green again with Dustin Neat out front, with Marlar and Brad Neat now in pursuit. The leader would start working traffic again on lap 42 and Dustin Neat would have the misfortune of making contact with the slower car of Fisher with 12 laps remaining exiting turn two, with Fisher spinning and Neat’s night finished with front end damage. Marlar would then inherit the race lead and survive one final caution for a flat tire from Michael Chilton to snag the race win aboard the Norman Bryson owned Bryson Motorsports/SEG/Midwest Sheet Metal/Hoosier/VP Race Fuels/Peterson Fluid Systems/Keyser Manufacturing/Ohlins Shocks sponsored #5B Bloomquist Race Car powered by a Clements Race Engine. Brad Neat would finish second, with Dustin Linville would take third. Justin Rattliff would start 14th and finish fourth, while Chris Combs scooted past Steve Francis on the final lap for fifth. Francis would head up the second five, followed by McGuire, 23rd starting Jeff Watson, Dennis Erb, Jr., and Michael Chilton.
