World of Outlaws Late Model Series(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing ventured to the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 5-7 for the 43rd edition of the fabled ‘World 100.’ The expanded three-day format kicked off with a pair of Twin 25s – each of which paid $5,000 to the winner. On Thursday night, Dennis Erb, Jr. ran third in his heat race prior to winding up twenty-second in the final rundown of the 25-lap feature event. At the “Big E” on Friday evening, Dennis once again finished third in heat race action and later posted a fourteenth place effort in the 25-lapper.

The huge weekend then wrapped up on Saturday at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant with the $46,000 to win ‘World 100.’ Unfortunately, Dennis’ night was a short one, as he experienced terminal mechanical trouble during the 15-lap heat race and finished seventeenth. The Carpentersville, Illinois native was not able to transfer into the ‘World 100,’ which was won by fellow Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series driver John Blankenship. Complete results from the “Granddaddy of Them All” can be found by clicking on www.eldoraspeedway.com.

Following Eldora, the #28 team will now turn their attention to a pair of World of Outlaws Late Model Series battles in the states of Illinois and Missouri on September 13-14. The tiny Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Illinois will get the doubleheader started on Friday with the ‘Photobilly 50,’ while the annual running of the ‘Pevely Nationals’ will wrap things up on Saturday at the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri. Both one-day shows in the St. Louis area will be headlined by $10,000 to win main events. Dennis is the defending ‘Pevely Nationals’ victor, as he won an exciting duel last year in the 55-lap contest. Additional information can be found by logging onto www.woolms.com.
