WAYCROSS, GA (September 19, 2013) – The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series gets back into action with a huge weekend of racing scheduled for Friday in Kentucky and Saturday in Indiana. The series will return to Florence Speedway in Union, KY on Friday night September 20th for the 27th Annual Ralph Latham Memorial that was postponed in June, due to rain. The 50-lap feature event will pay $10,000 to the winner. The series will then travel to the historic Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN on Saturday night September 21st for the 34th Annual Jackson 100. This weekend’s Jackson 100 at Brownstown Speedway will pay $15,000 to win and the feature event will be 100-laps in length.
Not only will racers be competing for the big prize money at the Jackson 100, but valuable points will also be awarded in the season long chase for the ASi Crown Jewel Cup – Presented by DirtonDirt.com at this event. The Crown Jewel Cup program will give racers an opportunity to win a $10,000 cash bonus – based on points earned at the Crown Jewel Cup events on the 2013 series schedule. This unique program, put together by Gene Ullman of ASi Racewear and Michael Rigsby of www.DirtonDirt.com in association with the LOLMDS, will showcase nine crown jewel events on the series schedule in 2013.
