Randy Korte Flexes Muscle at Tri-City; Riggs Motorsports Readies for ALMS Double Dip

(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) The Riggs Motorsports team and driver Randy Korte ventured to the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois from September 19-21 for a trio of $2,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Series showdowns. On Thursday night, Randy won his heat race in preliminary action prior to finishing third in the A-Main behind only victor Bobby Pierce and runner-up Brandon Sheppard. Following a rain-out of Friday’s program, Randy posted another podium finish in Saturday’s weekend finale. The Highland, Illinois ace won his heat race once again and later claimed a strong runner-up performance in the feature behind only winner Bobby Pierce. Next up for the Riggs Motorsports team will be a pair of American Late Model Series (ALMS) programs in the states of Illinois and Indiana on September 27-28. Randy Korte will tackle $2,000 to win shows on Friday at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and on Saturday at the Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana. Jason Riggs also plans to bring his Rocket Chassis to Haubstadt on Saturday to vie for the $2,000 top prize.
