$75,000 to be Handed out at Lebanon I-44 Speedway

Lebanon-I-44-Speedway2013 NASCAR Banquet has plenty to offer at Lebanon I-44 Speedway

(LEBANON, Mo.) – Almost 50 drivers, race teams and Individuals will be honored and awarded in excess of $75,000 in Cash and Contingency Certificates on November 23rd at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway NASCAR Whelen All American Banquet as they celebrate the 2013 Monster Energy Chase for the Championship Cup to be held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel & Oasis Convention Center in Springfield, Missouri.

The Speedway which flew the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series flags for the first time since 2001 featured 5 Weekly Racing Classes competing on Missouri’s only active Asphalt oval and NASCAR Missouri State Sanctioned Speedway.

Headlining the classes were the O’Reilly Auto Parts Pro Late Models, while the Budweiser Modifieds, Monster Energy Sportsman, Hoosier Tire Road Warriors, and Coca-Cola Chargers were important and growing support classes as the growth and return of Asphalt Racing continues to climb. While track point fund money is available for the Top 10 in each class, drivers must have competed in 70% of the races offered to them in 2013.

The Pro Late Models were battling for a $10,000 track point fund under the Nascar format in which 17 year old Cole Williams of Sellersburg, Indiana topped the $3,000 winner’s share of the point fund while also capturing the Missouri State title and the Missouri State Rookie of The Year which added another $2,000 in cash earnings as well as a new Custom Championship Fire Suite and Helmet plus his NASCAR Trophy and Contingency Certificates along with the opportunity to represent Lebanon I-44 Speedway and the State of Missouri at the NASCAR Whelen All American Series national banquet on December 13 at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C.

Points Runner-up Matt Wallace of Concord, N.C. will take home $2,000 for his runner-up spot along with an additional $1,000 for his Missouri State runner-up spot plus his NASCAR Trophy and Contingency Certificates, while Stoutland, Missouri’s JC Newell will capture $1200 from the track point fund and an additional $500 for his 3rd place finish in the Missouri State standings. Other Pro Late Model drivers sharing in the point fund will include Austin Fullerton of Chelsea, Oklahoma, Brennon Willard of Sleeper, Mo., Jimmy Van Zandt of Springfield, Mo., Terry Limberopoulos of Cuba, Mo. , Steve Holt of Springfield, Cole Rouse of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Kaleb Allison of Mexico, Mo.

Tyler Scott of Nixa, Mo. will take home the top honors for the NASCAR Tier 2 division Budweiser Modifieds in grabbing his 3rd straight Modified title in 2013. Other Modified drivers taking home honors will be Scotty Allen of Urbana, Mo., Terry Taylor of Fair Grove, David Bates of Fair Grove, Payton Lucas of Fair Grove, Richard Lewis of Willard, Chris Johnson of Lebanon, Steven Counterman of Fair Grove, Paul Jepson of Rolla and Joe Bunkers of Harrisonville, Mo.

Branson veteran Randy Besser will take home the top prize from the Sportsman tier 3 class as the unique Wedge-Bodied car showed consistency all season long as this will be his first championship in over 15 years. Other Sportsman drivers taking home part of the point fund money and awards include JC Newell of Decaturville, Mo., Austin Johnson of Inola, Ok., Jimmy Fohn of Eldridge and Aaron Douglas of Lebanon.

Lebanon’s Justin Blake had a dominating season in his rookie season in the popular Road Warriors as the Street Stock Class was featured as a Tier 4 class. Others to share in the Banquet honors include Geoff Ledford of Neosho, Mo., Caston Jones of Belle, Mo., Carl Harlow of Exeter, Michael Juergensen of Lebanon, Les Mallard of Fair Grove, Alan Ellis of Strafford, Gary Burrows of Versailles, Aaron Wilke of Bridgeton and Mike Funcannon of Exeter.

The Entry level class at I-44 was a Tier 5 level in the 4 cylinder Chargers as Willard, Missouri’s Jimmy Poindexter will be crowned as the Track Champion and take home the top money and hardware while Runner-Up Jason Walls of St. James, Larry Hunter of Laquey, Jordan Nesbitt of Lebanon, Lauren Buhr of Neosho, Patrick McKnight of Rolla, Amanda Anderson of Lebanon and Jary Hudson of Rolla all completed in 70% of the features and share in the honors and money.

It takes a great team effort and it all culminates as we reward our drivers at our banquet” said I-44 General Manager and Promoter.

The Ramada Plaza Hotel & Oasis Convention Center in Springfield, Mo. features a State of the art Convention Center with theater style stage, two large video screens, house surround sound, total control lighting and crescent style seating will insure a great Lebanon I-44 Speedway NASCAR Whelen All American Series Banquet.
