Lucas Oil Late Model Series(CROSSVILLE, TENNESSEE) Three-time Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) Champion Randy Weaver and the Outlaw Racing Southeast team are currently in the midst of preparing their equipment for a run on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series circuit in 2014. Randy is fresh off a strong 2013 campaign, as his #116 team racked up seven (7) victories, nineteen (19) top five finishes, and twenty-four (24) top ten efforts in the thirty-eight (38) Dirt Late Model events that they entered. In select Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series programs last year, Randy finished fifth in the $20,000 to win ‘Clash at the Mag’ at Magnolia (MS) Motor Speedway, eighth in the $50,000 to win ‘North/South 100’ at Florence (KY) Speedway, and third in the $10,000 to win ‘Dixie Shootout’ at Dixie (GA) Speedway.

The 2014 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series slate of events features forty-seven (47) confirmed dates in nineteen (19) different states across the country. Things will kick off for the premier national Dirt Late Model tour with the ‘Super Bowl of Racing’ from February 6-8 at Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia. From there, the action will shift south to East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida for the 38th Annual ‘East Bay Winternationals.’ The six-race week from February 10-15 at the “Clay by the Bay” will be headlined by a pair of $10,000 to win tilts on Friday and Saturday. In all, two races from Golden Isles and two shows from East Bay will be taped for TV by the Lucas Oil Production Studios, while the Friday, February 14 event at East Bay will air live on MAVTV for the first time ever. Additional information on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series can be found online at www.LucasDirt.com.

“We have been steadily preparing our race team for the past couple of seasons to hit the road with the Lucas Oil Series and we are ready to step up to that challenge in 2014,” quoted Weaver who will once again field GRT race cars powered by Cornett engines next year. “Chip and Rusty (Stone) have provided us with everything that we need to compete at the highest of levels and I can’t thank those guys enough for their support. The Lucas Oil Series sanctions most of the biggest races in our sport and their television package is unrivaled in Dirt Late Model racing. Competing for a title against guys like Jimmy Owens, Steve Francis, John Blankenship, Earl Pearson, Jr., and Don O’Neal will be a stiff test for our team, but we have proven that we can compete with those guys. Now, we just have to do it each week and see what happens!”
