OCALA, FL – The sign at the state line that proclaims Florida as the “Sunshine State” might need to be rethought, as rain washed out the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series race for the fourth straight day on Friday for the Bubba’s Army Winternationals Presented by Rock Auto.com. Series and track officials will try again on Saturday with two races in one day.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division will try to salvage what has been the “Wetternationals” again on Saturday afternoon with a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race. This will be the make-up race from Tuesday night’s rainout. Rain checks and entry fees will be honored for this race.

At the completion of the afternoon show, the grandstand will be cleared and readmitted for another NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series complete show with a 50-lap $3,000-to-win race on Saturday night. The two Saturday shows at Bubba Raceway Park will be Rounds 1 and 2 of the 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series season.

On Saturday, the gates open at 9 a.m. with NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection for both races from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 11 a.m., and racing is scheduled for 12 noon.

Since Qualifying had not taken place on Tuesday, new competitors that were not at the track on Tuesday may enter the Saturday afternoon race and will be added on to the tail of a group for Group Qualifying.
