POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series – 25 Events Scheduled for 2014

POWRi Speedway Outlaw Micro SprintsMILLSTADT, IL (Feb. 4, 2014) – The POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series is scheduled to run 25 events in 2014, including the highly anticipated Great Clips Jason Leffler Memorial at Wayne County Speedway on August 27th.

The season opens at Macon Speedway in Macon, IL on April 5th and will wrap up at Southern Illinois Raceway in Marion, IL on October 4th. The schedule includes the four-event POWRi Illinois SPEED Week as well as the two-event Kokomo Grand Prix. Other highlights are the Belleville Bash at Belle-Clair Speedway as well as POWRi’s return to St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington, MO after an 8-year hiatus.

“This is an exciting micro schedule that will challenge all teams competing for the 2014 POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series Championship,” POWRi’s Kenny Brown said. “We look forward to returning to tracks we have not visited recently, such as St. François County Raceway and Southern Illinois Raceway. The last race of the year will be at SIR, which will conclude the 2014 season championship.”

POWRi Illinois SPEED Week is a championship within the season championship and will run in conjunction with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series. The four-day event will commence on June 5th at Jacksonville Speedway followed by events at Lincoln Speedway on June 6th and Macon Speedway on June 7th. The finale of POWRi Illinois SPEED Week will take place at Belle-Clair Speedway on June 8th.

With 6 events scheduled, Macon Speedway will be the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro’s most visited track. Belle-Clair Speedway and Jacksonville Speedway will also be frequently visited as 4 events and 3 events are scheduled at each, respectively.

22 events are scheduled alongside the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series. 1 event at Wayne County Speedway and 2 events at Southern Illinois Raceway will feature only the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series.
