(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team, fresh off a hectic “Speedweeks 2014,” will start the points-paying portion of the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) schedule this weekend (February 28-March 1) at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama. The 17th Annual ‘Bama Bash’ will be held at storied EAMS this weekend and the winner will walk away with a nice $17,017 payday. Things will kick off on Friday night with qualifying and heat races, while the consolation events and the 75-lap ‘Bama Bash’ will headline the weekend on Saturday evening.

Dennis has extensive experience at East Alabama Motor Speedway in the track’s season-ending ‘National 100,’ as he claimed top ten finishes in each year from 2005-2012 including a runner-up performance in 2012 behind only victor Jimmy Owens. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace will be looking to get off to a strong start in the NDRL title chase, as he plans to follow the second-year national tour full-time in 2014. Additional information concerning the ‘Bama Bash’ can be obtained by pointing your web browser to www.thendrl.com.

The Dennis Erb Racing team will make their way to EAMS following fourteen events in the states of Georgia and Florida from February 7-22. The “Speedweeks 2014” journey for Dennis was definitely highlighted by his $7,000 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series triumph at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida on February 13. In front of a LIVE MAVTV television audience, Dennis clicked off the fastest lap overall during the LOLMDS qualifying session and later scored the win in heat race action.

After starting the 45-lap main event from the outside of the front row, Dennis ran second throughout most of the race. However, he turned up the wick late behind the wheel of his new C.J. Rayburn racecar, passed leader Billy Moyer for the point on lap 38, and led the remainder of the distance to claim the $7,000 top prize over Moyer, Jimmy Owens, Scott Bloomquist, and Brandon Sheppard! In addition to the win at the “Clay by the Bay,” Dennis also racked up two additional top ten finishes (seventh & tenth) during the weeklong ‘Winternationals.’

The #28 team was also a fixture during the ‘Super Bowl of Racing’ at Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia and the ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida during “Speedweeks 2014.” Mechanical problems, flat tires, and other bouts of bad luck hampered Dennis throughout his stint down south, but he was able to transfer into all three LOLMDS feature events at Brunswick and one World of Outlaws Late Model Series main event at Volusia.
