Inside Line Promotions – GERMANTOWN, Tenn. (March 3, 2014) – Buckle up because it’s about to be a long and wild ride.
Big Game Motorsports driver Sammy Swindell is set to race with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series every week until the middle of October, which starts on Wednesday and Thursday at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas in Las Vegas for the FVP Outlaw Showdown.
“It’s been a pretty good place,” he said. “You have to be right on the line and in the right place. A lot of times the track changes during the race. They don’t run there a lot so the track can be a lot of different conditions.”
Swindell earned a World of Outlaws feature victory at the half-mile track in 2000 and in 2006.
“Track position means a lot,” he said. “There’s a lot of things that have to go your way if you’re not starting in the front, unless we have a race track that is really wide.”
The Big Game Treestands team will wrap up the weekend on Saturday at Tucson International Raceway in Tucson, Ariz., for the NAPA Wildcat Shootout before five consecutive weekends of racing in California.
“When you get out there on the West Coast you’re on a lot of smaller tracks,” he said. “Being able to qualify well is going to be a key to that part.”
