HIGHLAND, IL (March 25, 2014) Highland Speedway celebrates the season opener on Saturday, March 29, 2014 with the “Lucky 40” after a few weeks of postponing due to the cold weather conditions. This event brings you the second night of racing action for the St. Patty’s Day Double Header weekend at BelleClair and Highland Speedway. This fun filled night of racing action brings you a 40 Lap $1500 to Win UMP Late Model feature, a $750 to Win Steve Schmitt UMP Modified feature, $350 to Win UMP B-Dry SportMods, along with $300 to win Hamel Coop UMP Street Stocks and Daum Insurance Outlaw Micros.

Come out and see who will win the Cross Town Classic “POT O GOLD” $1000 Bonus Late Model Challenge! Win both the Shamrock 40 at Belle-Clair Speedway and the Lucky 40 at Highland Speedway and get a $1000 Bonus. If no one wins the $1000 Bonus will be paid to the top 3 by points (Combined finishes from both shows). 1st—$500, 2nd—$300, 3rd—$200

This exciting night will be the first night for the points in the 2014 Highland Speedway Points Fund for all classes. See who kicks off the season at the top of the points chase. UMP Classes will receive UMP points for the Lucky 40 on Saturday night.

Pits Open at 3:00 pm, Grandstands Open at 5:30 pm, Pill Draw by 6:00 pm, Drivers Meeting at 6:15 pm, Hot Laps at 6:30 pm, Racing Starts at 7:00 pm. Box Seats are $20.00, General Grandstand Admission for this raised purse event is $15.00, kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult admission. Pit Passes are $35.00 and pit passes for kids 10 and under are $15.00 (Kids in the pits must have parental supervision at all times.)
