Lebanon-I-44-Speedway2014 NASCAR Schedule Unleashed at Missouri’s only NASCAR Facility in Lebanon I-44 Speedway
Lebanon, Mo / April 2, 2014 – The “High-Banks” of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway has released its 2014 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Schedule presented by Monster Energy with the some of the most exciting events the track has had in several seasons as 21 scheduled nights of NASCAR Short-Track Racing are slated.

The only active Asphalt Oval and Missouri’s only NASCAR Sanctioned facility will feature O’Reilly Auto Parts Pro Late Models, Budweiser Ground Pounding Modifieds, Monster Energy Sportsman, Hoosier tire road Warriors and Coca-Cola Chargers almost each and every Saturday Night along with a limited schedule of Baby Grands with some other possibilities still on the table.

The Speedway will host 3 scheduled Saturday Practices on April 5th, April 12th and April 19th from 1 till 4PM with pit gates opening at noon. Grandstand and Wildside Admission is Free to the public to watch.

The speedway’s first NASCAR points race will be held on Saturday April 26 as all 5 classes will be in action for Willard Asphalt & Willard Quarries Night at the Races. Drivers attempt to get the opening jump to become a NASCAR Whelen All American Series Track Champion and NASCAR Missouri State Champion as racing will begin at 6:30. Round number 2 of the Monster Energy Championship Chase for the Cup is slated for May 3rd with a special 30 lap Hoosier Tire Road Warrior feature and the first special appearance of the Baby Grands in 2014.

On Saturday May 10th, NASCAR driver and commentator Kenny Wallace will be on hand for Roadtec Military Appreciation Night to compete against the track’s regulars in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Pro late Models along with spending some time with the fans. For Kenny “Herman” Wallace, it will be his second time ever racing on the Missouri “High-Banks” as he was part of a NASCAR Race Of Champions Event in the 90’s. Wallace is always entertaining as this will mark a rare Asphalt appearance in the Short-Track World. This special night Roadtec and Lebanon I-44 Speedway want all past and present soldiers and their families with a Military Picture ID to be our free guests.

On May 17th, the 2nd Annual Mercy Masters of the Pro’s 144 will find the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour presented by Chevrolet Performance travels in from all across the country to challenge the Lebanon I-44 Speedway NASCAR Whelen All American Series regulars in the highest paying Pro Late Model event in the United States. Last year’s inaugural event drew 40 of the country’s top pro late model entries as the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year contender, young Chase Elliott took home the honors. A full field of Budweiser NASCAR Modifieds and one other NASCAR class will also be showcased in this special event. Qualifying will begin at 5pm with an autograph session to follow and racing immediately after that.

The Monster Energy Chase for the Cup continues on May 24th with Budweiser Night at the Races with special Budweiser promotions in the area and special drink promotions in the Budweiser Fan Deck all night long. May 31st its Caddy Shack Golf Cars Night at the Races as drivers try to position themselves not only for track honors, but also NASCAR State and National Honors with racing beginning at 6:30pm.

Saturday June 7th the Budweiser NASCAR Modifieds will duke it out in a special 50 lap feature event. With the advance season pre-registrations looking upward in car count, this event will lend well worth the price of Admission.

June 14th is the Breast Cancer Awareness Summer Fun Car Show with a multitude of classes in what is expected to be a huge event for a great cause that will all start that morning at the speedway. The Monster Energy Chase for the Cup will put on a full NASCAR show along with the Baby Grands that evening for all of the car show contestants and fans.

Saturday June 21st The Lebanon Area Chamber Of Commerce and Lebanon I-44 Speedway will join efforts again in hosting Our Town Your Town. Last season this event packed the Speedway to standing room only with over 70 area businesses and organizations hosting booths on the midway. The 2014 version will do the same as family and friends will be entertained with a great NASCAR racing program and stellar country concert after the races at a very affordable price of $10 PER CAR LOAD with additional VIP experiences available for the concert.

Saturday June 28th finds the point battle getting tighter during Coca-Cola Night at the Races with special Coke promotions in all of our market areas as the NASCAR Chase for the Cup continues and a special event for the Coca-Cola NASCAR Chargers.

On Thursday July 3rd NASCAR driver and personality Ken Schrader will be competing on the track with the O’Reilly Auto Parts Pro Late Models and spending time with the fans at the “High Banks” for 75 laps in the Salute to 75 special event. This special event will also serve as remembrance for the only 5 time NASCAR Whelen All American Series National Champion and one of the best short track drivers to ever live on his birthday, Springfield’s Missouri’s, Larry Phillips. A full night of NASCAR racing and the speedways largest fireworks show in many years to start the Independence Holiday Weekend. This entire night along with several other tributes to the iconic 75 is presented by Sportsland Pickup Covers, a name that was seen on the 75’s rear quarters for many years.

No racing scheduled on July 5th or 12th as the Laclede County Fair is in town. On July 19th, the Budweiser NASCAR Modifieds will take the spotlight with a special 50 lap feature event. On July 26th we roll into our 13th week of NASCAR racing during the Whelen Engineering Night at the Races with all five classes in action and the Baby Grands also make a return.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Sportsman will get the spotlight with a 40 lap feature event on Aug 2nd and the Monster Energy Night at the Races will take place on August 9th with the Baby Grands making their second to last appearance of the season and Monster Energy promotions throughout the market area.

The I-44 Wounded Warrior Bike Rally and Car Show will also take place for the first time with a full day of activities being planned out to take place at the speedway and in the surrounding area along with the Sleeper Fire Department.

On August 23rd Emerson Climate Technologies employees and their families will be our guests as all five NASCAR classes will begin down the final stretch of point’s battles and on August 30th we begin to open the door for the final month of our NASCAR season.

Starting with the September 6th United Insurors Night at the Races, racing action starts at 6:30 as the drivers will hit the homestretch in the drive to the Championship. O’Reilly Auto parts Pro Late Models will go 50 laps on Sept. 13 while the Season Championship will be held on September 20th and Twin Pro Late Model features and the final points races in all five NASCAR classes help finish the season on a high note.

Sponsorship and special nights are still being added to the schedule and many in event surprises will be updated as 2014 will truly be NASCAR Short Track Racin on Saturday Nights with an Assault on the Asphalt Season at Missouri’s only NASCAR Sanctioned Track.
