Highland Speedway Logo -2014Mother Nature has shown us her fury and kindly gave us more than enough rain for the week. As of Thursday morning we are at a total of 4.1 inches of rainfall and there is no end in sight. It is safe to say that we will be rained out for the weekend. Be safe and try to stay dry this weekend. We will keep everyone posted on Test & Tune for Tuesday, April 8, 2014. We are hoping that the rain will stop and we can be dried up and ready for Tuesday.

We will resume regular Saturday night racing on Saturday, April 12, 2014 with the Bunny Hop and Kids Dash for Cash for Ages 5 & 6. Join us for some great racing action with the UMP Late Models, Steve Schmitt UMP Modifieds, B-Dry UMP SportMods, Hamel Coop UMP Street Stocks, and the Daum Insurance Outlaw Micros. It will be a fun night for the whole family.

The Highland Speedway Junior Fan Club is excited about all the new things coming to the speedway this season. We will be starting it off with the Kids Dash for Cash for ages 5 & 6 on Saturday, April 12, 2014 and the Bunny Hop for all ages. If there are any businesses, individuals, driver’s, or teams that would like to donate cash or prizes for the Highland Speedway Junior Fan Club Kids Dash for Cash please contact Track Manager, Sue Zobrist at 618-644-5441. The Highland Speedway Junior Fan Club has had 3 wonderful volunteers step up and help us out this year, Nicci Egbert, Christy Jacober, and Melissa Kleine. These ladies will be helping collect things for the Junior Fan Club and signing kids in each week.

The Highland Speedway Junior Fan Club has an exciting addition this season. Junior Fan Club Members have a chance to participate in picking the starting order in the dashes. Junior Fan Club Members will be selected each week to pick the ball for their driver. If their driver wins the feature, that Junior Fan Club Member gets to go out for the Driver Pictures and be a part of the CC Food Mart Victory Lane celebration. It will be fun for the Junior Fan Club members and for the driver to have this opportunity. We are excited about the 2014 Racing Season and all the new things we are going to be offering.
