(Warrensburg, MO) Central Missouri Speedway is just weeks away from launching its grand reopening on April 26, but before the first official green flag flies, the track is offering two separate practice sessions for drivers hoping to shake down their cars.
The Walls family, track staff, and volunteers have been busy making repairs and sprucing up the facilities after two years of inactivity at the high-banked clay oval. While those activities continue, fans are encouraged to visit the track during the next few weeks to see how things are coming along and drivers are welcome to turn some laps on the track during the two scheduled practice sessions.
This Saturday, April 12 marks a day-time practice with gates opening at 11 a.m. Cars practicing will start hot laps on the track at 1 p.m. with the session lasting until approximately 4, depending on the volume of cars practicing. All car classes are welcome to participate.
Grandstand admission is absolutely free to fans on the pit side, pit passes are $25 for anyone entering the pits. Limited concessions will be available during the practice sessions on the pit side of the speedway only.
The second practice takes place during the evening on the following Saturday, April 19, with gates opening at 5 p.m. Cars are expected to hit the track by 6 p.m. The session is expected to last until approximately 9 p.m., again, depending on the volume of cars participating. Season passes for race fans are now on sale at the track and may be purchased on-site from Susan Walls this weekend. Passes include ALL 21 scheduled race events at CMS throughout the year. Adult passes are just $215, Military w/I.D. and Senior Citizens 65+ passes $160, and Kids passes for those aged six to twelve are $100.
