Bloomington and Brownstown Next Up for Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series April 25 and April 26

American Modified SeriesGlasgow, KY-April 17, 2014- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will present its first doubleheader weekend of racing action with events number four and five of the 2014 racing season on Friday April 25 at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN for the 1st Annual J.B. Robinson Memorial and Saturday April 26 at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN. The event at Bloomington on April 25 will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start, while the event at Brownstown on April 26 will pay $1,500 to win and $200 to start.

The trip for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series to Bloomington Speedway will mark the tour’s fourth trip to the Hoosier State ¼ mile red clay facility that has been racing since 1923. The four last visited Bloomington in 2011 and event winners that season were Ryan Thomas of Gosport, IN and Clint Demoss of Bloomington, IN, while John Demoss of Bloomington, IN (2010 series champion) won the tour’s first-ever trip to the track in 2010.

The trip by the Summit Racing Equipment American Modfiied Series to Brownstown Speedway will mark only the tour’s second ever visit to the ¼ mile Jackson County Fairgrounds facility that has been racing since 1952. Ryan Thomas of Gosport, IN was the winner of the series only trip to Brownstown back in July of 2009.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will compete at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN on Friday April 25. The event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $2,000 to win/$200 to start 1st Annual J.B. Robinson A-Main. This event is being contested in memory of the late J.B. Robinson, who was a long-time supporter of the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Bloomington Speedway on Friday April 25 will be the track’s Non-Wing Sprint Car, Super Stocks, and Hornet divisions.

The following evening, the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will compete at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN on Saturday April 26. The event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start Brownstown Speedway A-Main. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Brownstown Speedway on Saturday April 26 will be the Bowman Pro Late Models, along with the track’s Super Stock, Pure Stock, and Hornet divisions.

Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Bloomington Speedway on Friday April 25 will see the pit area open at 4:30 p.m. and the general admission area open at 5:30 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 6:15 p.m., with practice starting at 6:30 p.m., and racing taking the green flag at 7:30 p.m. All times listed are Eastern Time. Ticket prices for the event at Bloomington Speedway in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, while a pit pass will be $30.

Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Brownstown Speedway on Saturday April 26 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 3:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 5:15 p.m., with practice laps set for 5:30 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. All times are Eastern Time. Ticket prices for the event at Brownstown Speedway in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, while a pit pass will be the general admission price, plus $15 per person at the pit gate.
