Billy Moyer Racing Set for Rare Weekend Off Following NDRL King of Mississippi

NDRL - National Dirt Racing League(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) followed the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on April 18-19 for the inaugural ‘King of Mississippi’ weekend. On Friday night, a $7,500 top prize was on the line at “The Mag” and nearly 50 competitors signed in for the weekend opener. Billy Moyer posted the third fastest lap in Group B during qualifying and later scored the win in heat race action. After drawing the pole position prior to the 40-lap A-Main, Billy ran amongst the leaders early before slipping back to finish seventh in the final rundown.

On Saturday evening at the 3/8-mile facility, Billy once again laid down the third quickest circuit in Group B during the NDRL time trial session prior to finishing second in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the fourth row in the $12,500 to win weekend headliner, the Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer moved past three competitors during the 60-lapper. Billy was credited for a strong fourth place performance in the ‘King of Mississippi’ finale, as he crossed underneath the checkers behind only victor Don O’Neal, Jonathan Davenport, and Scott Bloomquist. Billy and his famed #21 team are slated to enjoy the upcoming April 25-26 weekend away from the racetrack and their plans for the May 2-3 weekend are also currently not finalized. The next National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) shows will be May 9-10 in the Buckeye State of Ohio. The Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio – formerly K-C Raceway – will play host to a pair of high-profile events paying $5,000 to the winner on Friday night and $15,000 to win in the weekend finale on Saturday evening.
