CALVERT CITY, Ky. – Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway will add a fifth class, Mini Stocks, to the racing program starting this Saturday night.
A 2/10-mile short course has been built in the infield inside the 3/8-mile oval and Mini Stocks, four-cylinder subcompacts based on UMP Sport Compact rules, will compete for $250 to win. The cars are called Warriors at some tracks, such as Paducah International Raceway.
Also on the program will be the regular lineup of Late Model, Modified, Pro (Crate) Late Model and Stock Car divisions.
The pit gate opens at 3 p.m. and grandstands open at 4. Practice will get under way at 5:30, qualifying at 6:30 and heat races are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
Admission is $15 for adults, with seniors and military personnel admitted for $12. Children 10 and under are admitted free.
Pit admission is $25, with a $35 charge for driver and car.
