TCS Logo - flags(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) watched the weather all last week and made a last minute decision to travel to Outlaw Motorsports Park in Muskogee, Oklahoma on May 16-17 for a pair of Lucas Oil MLRA Series battles. The decision paid off for the #21 team, as Billy Moyer found himself on the podium both nights. On Friday, Billy won his heat race from the sixth starting spot and later rolled off from the pole position in the $2,000 to win weekend opener. The Batesville, Arkansas ace stayed near the front throughout the 30-lapper and eventually wound up third behind only race winner Will Vaught and runner-up Terry Phillips.

On Saturday evening at Muskogee, Billy sported an even faster Moyer Xtreme by Longhorn racecar, as he dominated the event to claim his fifth victory of the 2014 campaign! “Mr. Smooth” once again took the win in heat race action prior to starting third on the grid in the 40-lap feature event. Billy then shot out into the lead early in the race and never looked back en route to the commanding $3,000 win over Terry Phillips, Chad Simpson, Travis Dickes, and Jeremy Payne! Full results from the double-dip at Outlaw Motorsports Park can be viewed online at www.mlraracing.com.

“I am glad we made the decision to go to Muskogee, especially after we picked up the win on Saturday night,” quoted Moyer this week. “We sat in rain the whole weekend prior in Ohio, so I really wanted to get a couple of races in the books instead of battling Mother Nature. I feel like we learned some things about our car from Friday night that helped us out on Saturday. It is never fun to start on the pole and go backwards a little bit like we did on Friday, but on Saturday our hotrod was pretty good for sure. I have to thank the guys that work so hard on the car at the shop and at the racetrack, as well as all of our sponsors for all of their great support!”

The #21 BMR team will now turn their focus to a huge Memorial Day holiday weekend, which includes four straight days of intense racing action in the states of Missouri and Illinois from May 22-25. Things will kick-off tonight at the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri with a $5,045 to win Lucas Oil MLRA Series event, which leads into Friday and Saturday’s 22nd Annual ‘Show-Me 100.’ Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying and heat races will take place at Wheatland on Friday night, while consolation races and the 100-lap main event are slated for Saturday evening. The winner of the crown jewel extravaganza will once again receive $30,000 for their efforts, while each feature starter will receive at least $1,500. Billy is a three-time ‘Show-Me 100’ victor and will be seeking his fourth race title this weekend.

Following the action-packed three days at Lucas Oil Speedway, the Memorial Day holiday weekend will wrap up for Billy Moyer Racing on Sunday, May 25 at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. The annual running of the ‘Budweiser 50′ will take place at the St. Louis area oval and a $10,000 top prize will be on the line for the UMP Super Late Models. Billy has won this race twice in his illustrious career, as he took home the checkers back in 2010 and 2012. Additional information on the high-profile races at Wheatland and Granite City can be located online at www.lucasoilspeedway.com and www.tricityspeedway.net.
