This weekend in Lucas Cattle Company ULMA racing, drivers have the rare opportunity to earn championship points at three separate ULMA tracks. This weekend’s official ULMA events will play a crucial role in the overall quest for the ULMA championship.

The weekend begins with Friday night action at Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Missouri. After several consecutive rainouts, drivers, fans, and the track staff are eager for action to return the 3/8th mile facility. The following night, ULMA action heads north to Randolph County Raceway (RCR) in Moberly. The racing buzz at RCR continues to grow and after a special-event weekend weekly racers will be longing for the green flag.

The ULMA contingent will head southwest on Sunday for the first of two scheduled appearances at Kyle and Carol Wirts’ beloved Double XX Speedway in California, Missouri on Sunday evening, June 22. The Double XX appearance marks the first ULMA appearance at the tracks since mid-July 2013 when last year’s champion Jason Russell drove to victory. Vance Wilson claimed the June race last year at Double XX Speedway.

If you’ve never seen late models at Double XX you’re in for a real treat and if you’ve never seen any racing at Double XX Speedway you are missing out! ULMA is once again proud to take part in the “Race for Riley,” an annual event at the track held in honor of one of its fallen and most dedicated late-model fans!

The track’s weekly program consists of 360 Winged Sprints, Street Stocks, and Hobby Stocks. Be sure to visit www.xxspeedway.com, locate the track on Facebook, or call 573.796.4694 for additional details.

ULMA will have the new shirts on sale this weekend at Double XX Speedway. Kids through adult XL shirts are $15 while XXL and XXXL shirts sell for $17. Shirts may be previewed by visiting the main ULMA website at www.ulmaracing.com. The shirts come in pink, grey, white, and lime green.

During last week’s action, according to the latest press release from Lucas Oil Speedway, “Larry Ferris came from his tenth starting spot to take his second consecutive win in ULMA Late Model action. Evan Hubert valiantly worked the top side on the super smooth and slick surface but ultimately settled for second. Kenny Mudd crossed the finish line in third while pole sitter J.D. Hubert slid back to fourth at the finish. Jake Williams was scored in the fifth spot.” Completing the top ten were Brian Schutt, Dwight Niehoff, Ethan Young, R.D. Peterson, and Phil Edmondson.

This weekend Lucas Oil Speedway hosts sprint cars for a special event. ULMA action returns to the speedway on Saturday, June 28. Visit www.lucasoilspeedway.com for the complete event information including times, pricing, and ticket information or call the track hotline at (417) 282-5984.

Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Missouri returns to ULMA action this Saturday, June 21 after hosting a super late model special event last week. For a complete schedule of events for the season and general track information, visit www.randolphcountyraceway.com.

Once again racing was canceled due to wet grounds at Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Missouri last Friday but the track is determined to host racing once again this Friday, June 20. Gates open at 5, hot laps roll out at 7, and racing begins at 7:30; for additional information visit www.callawayraceways.com.

In just a few weeks, RacinDirt.com presents the long-awaited return of the ULMA Triple Crown Shootout. The event, which features added purse money from two of the ULMA tracks as well as bonuses courtesy of RacinDirt.com and contingency prizes, takes place over three nights at Lucas Oil Speedway on July 3, Callaway Raceway July 4, and Randolph County Raceway on July 5. Official Triple Crown Shootout entry forms may be found on the ULMA home page at www.ulmaracing.com. Drivers needing tires prior to the weekend of competition are urged to contact Danny Lorton at 660-651-3646.

Drivers are encouraged to complete their membership forms prior to taking their first green flag of the season. Membership for the remainder of the year is $100. Drivers should be expected to complete their membership paperwork upon checking in at each of the affiliated tracks.

ULMA is proud to announce the return of RacingJunk.com to the sponsorship fold for the association. RacingJunk.com is the official classifieds of the ULMA.
