Bobby Pierce, Steven DeLonjay, Abe Huls, Tony Dunker and Austin Bercerra all took feature event wins at Quincy Raceways on Sunday July 20 during Heetco Summer Sizzler Night at the Races.

Bobby Pierce took home the $2000 winner check in the  Big Ten Series for the Kick Start UMP Super Late Model Special event but he had to work hard for it over the first ten circuits as Ricky Frankel held steadfast onto the lead. Pierce managed to slip past Frankel on the eleventh lap to take over for the rest of the thirty lap distance. Mark Burgtorf climbed past Frankel on lap twelve to take over the second spot but it was all for naught as he fell out of the feature on the twenty second lap with a broken bolt in his rear suspension. Brian Diveley then inherited the second spot but was unable to gain much ground on Pierce over the closing laps and had to settle for the second spot. Gordy Gundaker grabbed third over Rickey Frankel in fourth and Denny Woodworth in fifth. Justin Reed set the fast time in qualifying with Woodworth, Pierce and Frankel all taking heat race wins.

Steven DeLonjay scored the feature event win in the Miller Lite UMP Modified main event but he too had to work hard for it. Dave Wietholder took the early lead and held on through the first four laps when he gave way to Michael Long for the lead. Long then increased he lead to several car lengths but a caution flag on lap seventeenth lap gave DeLonjay the chance to move into the top with only eight laps to go. DeLonjay held off a closing Michael Long to take the win with Long in second, Jared Schlipman in third, Dave Wietholder in fourth and Shawn Deering in fifth. Long set the fast time in qualifying with DeLonjay and Wietholder scoring the heat race wins.

Abe Huls took the win in the Powder Coat Plus IMCA Stock Car main event after a huge battle with Brandon Savage and Jake Powers. Powers, Savage and Huls crossed the finish line three wide at the white flag mark with Huls edging ahead during the final lap to take the win. Savage scored the second spot with Powers in third followed by Beau Taylor in  fourth and Gabe Harrison in fifth. Taylor and Terry Houston were the heat race winners.

Tanner Klingele looked like he was well on his way to the Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA Northern SportMod feature event win but a caution flag on the fifthteenth lap brought Tony Dunker to his rear bumper on the restart. Dunker powered past Klingele on the high side on the restart and went on to take the feature win with Klingele settling for the second spot. Brad Holtmeyer came home in third with Bobby Anders Jr. in fourth and Jeff DeLonjay in fifth. Joey Gower and Klingele were the heat race winners.

Austin Bercerra scored another feature event win in the IMCA Sport Compact division. Bercerra took the lead on the eleventh lap after battling throughout the first ten laps with Brandon Lambert. Lambert settled for the second spot followed by Kimberly Abbott in third, Cliff Spencer in fourth and Adam Scott in fifth. Bryce Baker and Brandon Lambert were the heat race winners.

Coming up next at Quincy Raceways will be a very special event for the two modified divisions as the Miller Lite UMP Modifieds will be duking it out for a $1260 to Win $150 to Start feature event and the Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA Northern Sport Mods will be racing for $500 to Win feature event on Sunday July 27.
