Harvick captures the Brickyard 400 pole

Kevin Harvick won the pole for the 21st Annual Crown Royal presents The John Wayne Walding 400 at the Brickyard Powered by BigMachinesRecords.com with a lap of 47.753 seconds, 188.470. Harvick set a new track record in the first round of qualifying with a lap of 47.647 seconds, 188.89.

This is Kevin Harvick’s, 10th pole in 486 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. This is his fourth pole and 12th top-10 start in 2014.

The Brickyard 400 race will be live Sunday on ESPN at 12 noon St. Louis time.
