tri-state-speedwayHaubstadt, IN – July 31, 2014. The Midwest Sprint Car Series will be sanctioning the Hoosier Sprint Nationals on Saturday August 2nd.

This special event will be the 10th to be promoted at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, IN. The feature will pay $5,000 to the winner. Twenty sprint cars and one possible provisional starter will take the green flag and go for the added distance of 40 laps to determine this year’s race champion.

Eight Hoosier Sprint National events have been held to date and eight different drivers have posted a win. Rain intervened only once! The race has continued to be a popular action attraction at Tri-State Speedway season after season.

Kyle Cummins has claimed the lead in Hoosier Tire Midwest Sprint Car Series points.

He is the only driver that has started in every HSN feature held. The Princeton, IN, driver continues to collect top five finishes in looking for that first win this season. Robert Ballou has used a three race winning streak to move up to third in the standings. Bradley Sterrett stands second in points with Jeff Bland Jr. and Brandon Mattox rounding out the top five heading into this weekend’s action.

No driver has won the Hoosier Sprint Nationals race and gone on to become the Hoosier Tire Midwest Sprint Car Series Points Champion that same season. Maybe this will be the year!

The UMP Open Wheel Modifieds will also be competing on August 2nd.

The pit gate will open at 3:30 P.M. C.D.T. with the stands to open an hour later. Hot laps begin at 6:30 with heat races beginning at 7:30. Additional information can be found at www.tristatespeedway.com or www.mscssprints.com.
