Lebanon-I-44-SpeedwayYMCA Night and Kids Ride in Race Cars Saturday Night

Lebanon, Mo / July 31, 2014 – For Immediate Release

The “High-Banks’ Of The Lebanon I-44 Speedway along with area YMCA’s are joining forces to present the YMCA Night At The Races on Saturday Aug. 2nd as the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Lebanon I-4 Speedway Monster Energy Championship Chase hits high gear.

All fans in attendance Saturday Night will receive a Free 7 Day Pass to the local YMCA in their area. This is the 1st year that the local area YMCA’s have presented this program at the Speedway and are extremely excited about it. This should be a win-win situation for the fans as they not only get a great night of NASCAR Short-Track Racing, but a free trial to experience what the area YMCA’s have to offer.

The Speedway will also be holding the Kid’s Ride Along night which offers the kid’s ages 10 and under a ride in an actual racecar for 1 lap around the “High-Banks”. This has not only proven to be popular for the kids, but also the drivers as the Coca-Cola Chargers and Keyser Manufacturing Road Warriors are always ready to go and greet the younger fans at intermission.

The battle for NASCAR Whelen Track and Missouri State Championships are in high gear and hotly contested in all 5 classes featuring the O’Reilly Auto Parts Pro Late Models, The “Ground Pounding” Budweiser Modifieds, Monster Energy Sportsman, Keyser Manufacturing Road Warriors and the exciting Coca-Cola Chargers as the competition level is like never before with 2 more new feature winners from last week added to a long list.

Heading into this Saturday’s action, 15 year old Kaleb Allison of Mexico, Mo. heads-up the super fast O’Reilly Auto Parts Pro Late Model standings with a 56 point lead over JC Newell of Stoutland with Sleeper’s Brennon Willard in 3rd while the battle for 4th through 7th is only separated by 42 markers.

Stephen Counterman of Fair Grove extended his lead in the Budweiser Modifieds over Tim Swearengin by 59 points after his 2nd feature win last week while Lebanon’s Chris Johnson trails Swearengin by only 9 points.

For Rolla’s Paul Jepsen, it has been a dream season in the Monster Energy Sportsman after capturing his 7th win of the season. Jepsen maintains a large margin over area favorite “The Gentle Giant” JC Newell as Toby Harden holds 3rd spot with Lebanon’s Justin Blake a solid 4th and moving forward.

Exeter’s Carl Harlow still maintains a 90 point lead in the Keyser Manufacturing Road Warriors over Les Mallard but the driver of the #21 has been slowly reeling him in and Lebanon’s Michael Juergensen has moved up to 3rd spot.

A new point leader sets on top of the Coca-Cola Charger Class as defending champion Jimmy Poindexter took advantage of Ben White’s blown motor and captured his 2nd win of the season. Poindexter now holds a one point margin over 19 year old Lady driver Lauren Buhr of Neosho while St. James hard charger Jason Walls is only 21 points out of the lead and the top 6 are only separated by 75 points as White dropped from 1st to 6th place with the mechanical issue which is a great example of how points can change from week to week.

Gates open on the Budweiser Party Deck and in both the Monster Energy Grandstand and the well-known Budweiser “Wildside” Tier Parking for a tailgate party at 5PM with racing to start at 7PM sharp.

Grandstand Admission is only $10 for Adults with discounts for Military and Seniors while Tier Parking is $15 for Adults and offers the 6-Pack special as 6 adults in the same vehicle is only $75 or buy 5 get 1 Free.
