CALVERT CITY, Ky. – The finishing order of Saturday’s $4,000-to-win Modified feature at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway has been confirmed as official.
Track co-owner Ronnie Jones said tests of samples of tires taken from the second- and third-place finishers in the race turned out to be negative.
Trent Young of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, is runner-up and Tyler Nicely of Owensboro, Kentucky, is the third-place finisher in official results.
Samples were taken after post-race tests raised a question about the tires, Jones said. There was no indication of a potential violation on the tires of winner Nick Hoffman of Mooresville, North Carolina.
This week’s program will showcase the Late Model and Stock Car divisions, with the Late Models running for $3,000 first-place prize money and the Stock Car drivers going for a $1,500 first-place payoff.
