Mark Burgtorf, Steven DeLonjay, Ryan Jamison, Abe Huls and Kimberly Abbott all took feature event wins during the Casey’s General Stores Racing Series at Quincy Raceways on Sunday August 31.

Burgtorf took the lead away from Gordy Gundaker on the eleventh lap and never looked back to claim his second feature win in a row in the Kick Start UMP Super Late Model feature event. Gundaker settled for second followed by Jason Perry in third, Mike Vanderiet Jr. in fourth and Matt Santel in fifth. Denny Woodworth and Gundaker were the heat race winners with Jason Perry setting quick time during qualifications.

Michael Long led the first sixteen laps of the Miller Lite Modified main event but a restart allowed Steven DeLonjay the opportunity he needed as he blew past Long on the restart and pulled away for the feature event win. Long settled for second followed by Brian Lynn in third, Craig Spegal in fourth and Rick Conoyer in fifth. Long and Jared Schlipman were the heat race winners with Long setting quick time during the time trials.

Ryan Jamison took the feature event win in the 305 Sprint Car main event but it wasn’t all that easy as Robbie Standridge looked like he would power away from the field after taking over the top spot on lap ten. Standridge kept the lead until his engine started to go away on lap thirteen giving the lead back to Jamison. Jamison held off his son, Blane to take the win with Dave Getchel in third, Caleb Wankel in fourth and Dustin Whiting in fifth. Ryan Jamison and Robbie Standridge were the heat race winners.

Abe Huls took his fifth feature event win of the season in the Powder Coat Plus IMCA Stock Car main event. Jake Powers grabbed the second spot followed by Beau Taylor in third, Nathan Hayes in fourth and Jerry Jansen in fifth. Troy Brierton won the heat race.

Kimberly Abbott took the lead of the IMCA Sport Compact main event on lap nine and held off Austen Bercerra to grab her fourth feature win of the year. Bercerra settled for second followed by Brandon Lambert in third, Craig Bangert in fourth and Spencer Coats in fifth. Bercerra and Lambert were the heat race winners.

Coming up next at Quincy Raceways will be a $2000 win Kick Start UMP Super Late Model event with the Miller Lite UMP Modifieds, Sport Mods, Stock Cars and Sport Compacts on the racing bill. The IMCA Classes will be running unsanctioned this week as the IMCA Super Nationals prevent the awarding of points. The Summy Tire and Auto Center SportMods will be a challenge race with the USRA SportMods eligible to race under their own rules in a tune up for the King of the Bull Ring event scheduled for Sept. 21.
