Tri-City Speedway’s 10th Annual Summit Modified Nationals kicks off Thursday, September 18th with big payout increase!

TCS Logo - flagsGranite City, IL (August 15th, 2014) The hugely successful Summit Modified Nationals at Tri-City Speedway will take to the track on September 18th, 19th and 20th for the tenth consecutive year. The event will once again feature UMP DIRTcar Modifieds competing on the medium banked 3/8 mile dirt oval and there will be more money on the line than ever before.

Thursday’s event will pay $3,000 to the winner, while Friday’s will pay $4,000 to win and Saturday’s pays $5,000 to win! The total purse and contingency awards will exceed $90,000! Each day will be a complete program with a full payout. Mullins Race Engines will also present a $500 Fast Time Award each night! Larry Shaw Race Cars sponsoring $100 product sponsor each night to the Hard Charger. Summit Racing Equipment – $500 Total Product Certificates for overall Top Ten Point Championship.. 10/$50each.. Hoosier Racing Tire Sponsoring the Dash each night with the winner receiving a Hoosier Racing Tire. Fast Shafts Sponsoring a $50 product Sponsor in the “B” Main each night on a radom draw to a Non-Transfer position. Radical Race Gear $100 Gift Certificate for a Race Suit each night.

UMP DIRTcar Late Models will once again be the support division for all three nights with each night paying $2,000 to win with each night being a full program and full payout.

Both classes will feature group qualifying each night.

Grandstand admission for Thursday will be $18, then $20 on Friday and $22 on Saturday. As always, kids 12 years old and younger are FREE in the grandstands all three nights. Grandstand gates open at 5:30pm each day. Pit admission is $35 each night with kids 12 and under only $10 each night.

The 10th Annual Summit Modified Nationals also includes a lot more fun and excitement than ever before. The all new KG’s Bar will be open each night after the races with party food, music, dancing and a game room. On Friday and Saturday afternoons, there will be a fans versus drivers sand volleyball match. Saturday will also feature a tug-a-war with the late model drivers going up against the modified drivers.

Tri-City Speedway is located just outside of St. Louis, MO in Granite City, IL and is located a half mile south of Interstate 270 on Rt 203 (exit 4 off of I-270). Official address for your GPS is 5100 Nameoki Road, Granite City, IL.
