bonus_series_logo_featured(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team traveled to the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina from November 6-8 for the 8th Annual ‘World of Outlaws World Finals.’ The final two events of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series season paid $12,000 to the winner and drew a stellar field of 77 entrants. On Thursday night during the two rounds of qualifying, Dennis posted the seventh fastest lap in Group A for Friday’s program and the nineteenth quickest time in Group B for Saturday’s showdown.

In front of a huge crowd at the 4/10-mile speedplant, Dennis won his heat race on Friday evening and later drew the pole position prior to the 50-lap main event. After leading the first lap, Dennis wound up a strong fifth in the final rundown behind only victor Darrell Lanigan, Chris Madden, Scott Bloomquist, and Jimmy Owens. On Saturday, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace ran fifth in his loaded heat race, second in his B-Main, and seventeenth in the 50-lap ‘World Finals’ finale. The Dennis Erb Racing team has one last event on their 2014 calendar, which is scheduled to take place this weekend (November 14-15) at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee. The 3rd edition of the ‘Deep Fried 75’ is a Southern Nationals Bonus Race and will pay $11,000 to the victor. Qualifying and heat races are slated for Friday evening at the Volunteer State facility, while the B-Mains and the 75-lap main event are scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Dennis charged all the way up to second in last year’s version of the ‘Deep Fried 75′ to finish behind only winner Josh Putnam.
