bonus_series_logo_featured(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing wrapped up their 2014 campaign over a chilly November 14-15 weekend at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee. The 3rd Annual ‘Deep Fried 75’ was a Southern Nationals Bonus Race and an $11,000 top prize was on the line.

On Friday night, Dennis Erb, Jr. clicked off the fastest lap in Group A during the qualifying session and later finished second in heat race action on Saturday afternoon. After starting the 75-lap headliner from the inside of the third row, Dennis was running in the sixth position on lap 11 when a broken timing chain caused him to retire in the twenty-third spot. Complete results from the season-ending ‘Deep Fried 75’ weekend can be obtained by clicking on www.southernnationalsseries.com.

The #28 team racked up a pair of victories in 2014, along with eleven Top Five finishes, and thirty-two Top Ten performances. Dennis picked up the $15,000 payday in the ‘Thawl Brawl’ at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois and the $7,000 winner’s check in a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series televised battle at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida. On the ultra-competitive LOLMDS trail, Dennis parlayed his three Top Fives and thirteen Top Tens to a ninth place effort in the final version of the national touring series point standings.
