January 16, 2015, Tucson, Ariz. Jamestown, ND racer Scott Bintz is turning the 2015 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout into his own personal playground. After scoring the win last Sunday, Bintz returned on Friday night and steered his RealTruck.com, Pizza Ranch, Dakota Engines machine to a thrilling X-Mod win.

Jeff Hartley and Dan Dougherty would lead the field to green and it wasn’t long before things at the front were getting hot. Opening night winner Ron Schreiner quickly moved from his sixth starting spot to go three wide for the lead on lap two with Hartley and Dougherty. Those three would swapped the lead unofficially several time with Dougherty claiming the lead over Schreiner, fifth starting Bintz, Hartley and Brandon Farrington with five down.

A little farther back in the field, Ryan Cousins was on the move as he steadily moved from seventh to fourth between laps five and ten. Back up front, the side by side fight for the lead was back on as Schreiner repeatedly went door to door with Dougherty for the better part of ten trips around the USA Raceway.

Schreiner’s perseverance would finally pay dividends on lap fifteen when he claimed the lead as Bintz quietly snuck into the picture to drop Dougherty to third and being dueling with Schreiner for the win. The fight was short lived as Bintz jumped to the top spot on lap seventeen of the twenty lapper, leaving Schreiner helpless to catch him.

Cousins would drop the fading Dougherty to fourth on the final lap with Brian Farrington rounding out the top five. The hard charger on the night was Tyler Peterson, moving from eighteenth on the grid to eight in the final rundown.
