Glasgow, KY-March 14, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will now kick off the 2015 racing season as part of the 11th Annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic on Saturday March 21 at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN. It will be the first of two appearances in 2015 at the speedy ¼ mile high-banked red clay oval, with the 30 lap A-Main event paying $1,500 to the winner and $200 to start.
This will be the attempt to get this event in the record books for 2015. Colder temperatures, rain, and snow forced the postponement of the event on its original date of March 7 and constant rain showers over a 36 hour time frame forced yet another postponement of the event on March 14.
This will be the second-ever visit for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series to Clarksville Speedway, with Lucas Lee of Paris, TN winning the tour’s first-ever event at the track by claiming the win in this event in 2014, which saw the A-Main delayed one week due to weather.
On Saturday March 21, the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be in competition at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN and the event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start 11th Annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic A-Main contest. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Clarksville Speedway on Saturday March 21 will be the UMP DIRTcar sanctioned Super Late Models, racing for $5,000 to win and the UMP Pro (Crate) Late Models racing for $1,000 to win, along with other local divisions.
Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Clarksville Speedway on Saturday March 21 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. All times listed are Central Time. Ticket prices for the event at Clarksville Speedway on Saturday March 21 in the general admission area will be $25 for adults, children ages 6 to 10 will be $5, and children ages 5 and under are free, while a pit pass will be $40.
