World-of-Outlaws-Late-Model-Series(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) Riggs Motorsports and driver Brian Shirley pulled into the pit area at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois and Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois over the April 10-11 weekend for a pair of Super Late Model showdowns. On Friday night at Farmer City, a weekly UMP DIRTcar Series program was held and a strong field of competitors were on hand to vie for the $1,000 winner’s check. Brian qualified ninth quickest in time trials and ran second in heat race action. After starting the A-Main from the outside of the third row, Brian moved up to as high as fourth in the running order before eventually slipping back to seventh at the checkers.

At Peoria on Saturday evening, the annual running of the ‘Don Bohlander Tribute’ race was held and a $5,000 top prize was up for grabs. Brian clicked off the fourth fastest lap in qualifying prior to grabbing the third transfer spot through his heat race. For the second straight night in the 50-lap feature, the Chatham, Illinois star brought his #3s home in the seventh finishing position. Full results from both Land of Lincoln bullrings can be accessed online at www.farmercityracing.com and www.peoriaspeedway.com.

Brian will now turn his focus to one of the biggest race weekends in the state of Illinois – the ‘Illini 100’ at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will preside over a $6,000 to win show on Friday night, April 17, while Saturday evening, April 18 will boast a hefty $15,000 payday. Jason Riggs, who just took possession of a new truck and trailer this week, will finally make his 2015 debut on Saturday in a weekly Super Late Model program at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky.
