Life on the Line movie starring John Travolta, Sharon Stone and Kate Bosworth raises awareness

April 17, 2015, St. Louis Region – Saturday, April 18, 2015 is National Fallen Linemen Appreciation Day across the United States. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Drivin’ for Linemen 200 will again pay tribute to the past, present, future and fallen linemen.

“It takes foresight, passion and courage to do things other people don’t do. To step out and take a risk.  That describes Chad Dubea and his team at Elite Holdings, LLC. On behalf of the staff and management at Gateway Motorsports Park, I want to recognize and thank Elite Holdings for all of the work they’re doing to support the heroes of the electrical line industry,” said Curtis Francois, President and Owner of Gateway Motorsports Park.

Elite Holdings is committed to changing the mindset of the electric line industry to one where the companies and their teams work in harmony to reduce incidents and increase safe, efficient production. To accomplish this, Elite Holdings has Elite lineman Training Institute to train the next leaders of the industry. KnowledgeVine is another one of their companies that specializes in Human Performance training.

Dubea is a long-time member of the electrical industry, former lineman and former CEO of a utility service company.  In 2014, he led the way to utilize the NASCAR Truck Series Race at Gateway Motorsports Park as a way to raise national awareness of electrical linemen as first responders by naming the race Drivin’ for Linemen 200.

“Last year’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Drivin’ for Linemen 200 was an historical race in so many ways,” explains Francois.  “NASCAR came back to the St. Louis region. The community showed up in droves with energy and enthusiasm to support motorsports and electrical linemen, and finally, millions of people across the country are more aware of the courageous work and sacrifices electrical linemen make every day, and especially during major storms and disasters.”

Dubea is also the Executive Producer of the movie Life on the Line, starring John Travolta, Sharon Stone, Kate Bosworth, and Devon Sawa among notables. The movie, currently in post production, shares the story of a crew of electric linemen who do the dangerous high-wire work of repairing the electrical grid during massive storms under life threatening conditions.  The debut date of the movie has yet to be announced.

He founded the not-for-profit Fallen Linemen Organization in 2013, and its mission is to memorialize fallen electrical line workers, and care for the families who have lost or are impacted by a severe injury of a loved one in the line of duty. The organization strives to consolidate accident and injury information to share openly for a safer work environment.

The Drivin’ for Linemen 200 will again be held under the lights on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Gateway Motorsports Park in primetime at the 1.25-mile NASCAR Speedway located just four miles from the historic St. Louis Gateway Arch.
