Zebulon, Georgia (05/19/15) – Shane Clanton found victory lane for the sixth time in 2015 on Saturday night by piloting his Weldbank Energy #25 Capital/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model to the $10,000 victory in the TireX USA 100.

“We were just biding our time there early in the race, trying to save our equipment, and it all paid off,” Clanton said with a smile in victory lane. “The track was just great tonight, and our car really came in late in the race. With twenty-six entries on hand for the $10,000-to-win, Ultimate Late Model Series event Shane Clanton earned the 9th starting spot on the grid for the 50 lap finale. He bided his time in the opening laps before working his way into the top five by the race’s midway point. The closing laps found Clanton race past Casey Roberts for the second spot as he began stalking leader, Austin Hubbard. Clanton raced to the lead with just nine laps remaining and went on to cruise to the win by more than four seconds. Clanton’s focus returns to his pursuit of his first-career, World of Outlaws Late Model Series (WoOLMS) title this weekend, May 23rd-24th. The team will make the trek to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia). Saturday’s program includes an $8,000-to-win event, while Sunday’s event is highlighted by a $10,000-to-win feature. Clanton currently leads the WoO standings by 90 markers.
