With a forecast of heavy rains this afternoon and local weather calling for the same on Friday and Saturday the officials at Lebanon I-44 Speedway along with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour presented by Chevrolet Performance have made the call to reschedule the Mercy Masters of the Pro’s 144 to July 4th.
“This is the biggest racing event on our schedule and such a huge event for Mercy, nobody wants to spend it watching rain. We have racers coming in from 13 states plus Canada and if I can save the travel expense right now for those teams and not put everybody through 3 days of watching it rain then that is the right thing to do. We are fortunate that the series still had the July 4th date open.” stated Lebanon I-44 Speedway General Manager Kevin Greven.

All advance tickets dated for May 30th will be honored for the July 4th event.

“We could try to wait this thing out but there is not a forecast out there that supports that line of thought and it just isn’t right to make for a miserable weekend for our fans, racers or Mercy. Even if we got some breaks in the weather with the heavy rain from Wednesday, what looks to be heavy rain on the radar for this afternoon and then the same for Friday and Saturday I don’t believe we could ever get the track dried out to the point of being safe for the drivers.” said Greven
