MARS-DIRTcar-SeriesMuskogee, Oklahoma (06/12/15) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil and the Mid America Racing Series (MARS) went head-to-head on Friday night at Outlaw Motor Speedway, where Tony Jackson Jr. bagged the $2,500 victory.

With a stout field of 38 entries entered Shane Essary earned the New Vision Graphics Pole Award for the feature with Will Vaught joining him on the front row for the 40 lap finale. It was Crane, Missouri’s Vaught, who took the lead at the drop of the green flag with Jackson Jr., Essary, Justin Asplin, and BJ Robinson in tow. Hotly contested battles raged supreme throughout the field as Vaught maintained the top spot.

By lap 14 the leaders caught the tail of the field as the top five running order consisted of Vaught, Jackson Jr., Asplin, Robinson, and Essary.

The first caution flew on lap 16 to regroup the field, and as the race went back green BJ Robinson retired with mechanical issues, forfeiting the 4th position. At the halfway point Vaught continued to lead the way as the complexion of the top five began to change with Jackson Jr. and Asplin being joined by Jack Sullivan and Clay Fisher.

Cautions flew on lap 25 and lap 27 to again regroup the field, but disaster struck on the lap 27 restart, when Vaught found his power plant expiring. Tony Jackson Jr. inherited the lead and went on to lead the final thirteen circuits to score the victory. Jack Sullivan staged a late-race surge to a runner-up finish with Robert Baker, Clay Fisher, and Justin Asplin completing the top five finishers.

Tony Jackson Jr. won GRT Race Cars Heat Race #1 with Chandler Petty winning Allen Manufacturing Heat Race #2.  Jack Sullivan raced to victory in Henryetta Ford Heat Race #3, and Justin Asplin scored the triumph in ROCKHARD Powder Coating Heat Race #4. Shane Essary won Lucas Oil Heat Race #5.
The Boston’s Sports Bar and Restaurants B-Mains were topped by Randy Timms and Gavin Landers.
BJ Robinson was the recipient of the Wilwood Tough Brake of the Race Award after breaking, while running in the 4th position..
