DIRTcar-logo (Macon, IL-6/15/15) – Three Big Ten Series events were scheduled for this past weekend, one for each class. While the Super and Pro Late Models got their two events in, the Big Ten Street Stocks were a no-go on Friday night due to rain.

On Friday, June 12, the Big Ten Series Pro Late Models held their second event of the season and first of 2015 at Lincoln (IL) Speedway. New Berlin, IL driver Nick Bauman raced to the checkered to claim his first Big Ten win of the year. Following the #1 across the line were Brandon Eskew, Guy Taylor, Myles Moos, and Tommy Sheppard, Jr. The point battle at the top is a close one after two races with Taylor leading by two points over Bauman and two more over Moos. The next Pro Late Model Big Ten event is Friday, June 26 at Jacksonville.

On Saturday, June 13, the Big Ten Series Super Late Models made their first trip of the year to Mighty Macon Speedway. 19 drivers took the green with four different drivers trading the top spot numerous times. Action was two and three wide as the leaders worked through lapped traffic. Decatur, IL driver David Crawley, Jr. raced underneath Joey Webb’s checkered flag for the feature victory. Crawley was followed by Joseph Hughes, Ryan Little, Kyle Logue, and Brian Dively. In the standings, Brian Dively sits atop the chart with a 14 point lead on Daryn Klein. Chuck Mitchell, Mark Burgtorf, and David Crawley, Jr. are the rest of the top five.

The Big Ten Street Stocks were scheduled to run their fourth event of the season at Jacksonville. Rain became an issue early during the race program, canceling the night’s festivities. Details on a reschedule date are not yet available.

The next event on the Big Ten schedule is this coming Tuesday, June 16 at Jacksonville Speedway. It will be the third event of the year and a combo event with the Summer Nationals Hell Tour. Points will be awarded for both entities. The Pro Late Models will next race for series points on Friday, June 26 at Jacksonville, while the Street Stocks will run this Saturday, June 20 at Macon.
