Tyler Nicely Takes Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Win at Clarksville Speedway

American-Modified-SeriesClarksville, TN- July 18, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series completed its doubleheader weekend of racing action with its second visit of the season to Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN and Tyler Nicely would claim his first ever series win and become the 33rd different driver to win with the tour by scoring the $1,500 win in the Nick Nicely owned Lucas Oil Center/Diggers Fencing Siding Guttering/D&J Auto Parts/Advanced Machine and Tool/Ted Brown’s Quality Paint and Body/AFCO/Hudson Performance Driveshafts sponsored #25 Elite Chassis powered by a Mullins Race Engine.

Tyler Nicely’s victory would take place in the tight confines of Clarksville Speedway and would see Nicely outdistance top qualifier Clayton Miller to pick up the victory. Miller would finish in the second position, while Tait Davenport would claim the third spot. The Ilinois duo of Mark Lamont and Brian Shaw would complete the top five.

The remainder of the top ten at the completion of the Clarksville Speedway A-Main would be Lincoln Epps, Matt Markham, Wally Walker, Michael Sabatino, and Ricky Knight, Jr.

In preliminary action, Clayton Miller would be the Quick Car Racing Product top qualifier among a field of 12 entries at 13.759 seconds. Summit Racing Equipment heat one went to Tait Davenport, while Tyler Nicely scored the win in Wiles Driveshafts heat two.

The next events for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be the annual Labor Day Weekend Tripleshot, with action at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL on September 4 ($3,000 to win), Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, IL September 5 ($10,000 to win), and Spoon River Speedway in Canton, IL on September 6 ($5,000 to win).
