Land of Lincoln Tripleheader Goes September 4, 5, and 6 for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series

American-Modified-SeriesGlasgow, KY-August 10, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will return to action with its 2015 Land of Lincoln Tripleheader Weekend over Labor Day with three mega-big events and three great racing venues.

The weekend will begin on Friday September 4 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL with a 35 lap/$3,000 to win event. The following evening, the tour will visit Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, IL for the 3rd Annual Casey’s AMS Modified Nationals that will pay a series record $10,000 to win the 50 lap main event. The weekend will conclude on Sunday September 6 at Spoon River Speedway in Canton, IL with the 25th Annual Modified Fall Nationals, with the 50 lap main event paying $5,000 to win.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be in competition at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL on Friday September 4 and the event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and a 35 lap, $3,000 to win/$225 to start A-Main. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Farmer City Raceway on Friday September 4 will be the Sunoco ALMS/Corn Belt Clash Super Late Models racing for $5,000 to win, plus the track’s Street Stock and Hornet divisions. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment Modified Series is $50 and, per UMP DirtCar rules for Modifieds, beginning June 1, there is NO grooving of rear tires. The legal tire compounds are A40, A40S, and H40 only. Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Farmer City Raceway on Friday September 4 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:15 p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. All times listed are Central Daylight Times. Ticket prices for the event at Farmer City Raceway on Friday September 4 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, while a pit pass will be $35. Also, there will be the Mullins Race Engines Non-Qualifiers event for those Modified drivers not transferring to the A-Main event, paying $500 to win and those drivers will UMP DirtCar Modified national points, but no AMS series points. There is NO entry fee for this Summit Racing Equipment Modified Series event, per UMP DirtCar rules for Modifieds, beginning June 1, there is NO grooving of rear tires. Ticket prices for the event at FALS on Saturday September 5 in the general admission area will be $25 for adults, while a pit pass will be $40.
