Lucas Oil SpeedwayWHEATLAND, MO (August 13th, 2015) – On the heels of a very successful Inaugural Fall Factory Stock Shootout in 2014, Lucas Oil Speedway Officials are pleased to welcome Whitetail Trophy Hunt as the event’s presenting sponsor for 2015 and beyond. The newly entitled “Big Buck 50 Presented by Whitetail Trophy Hunt” will also see a significant jump in purse money as the event will be $4,000 to win in 2015, up from $2,500 in 2014.

As part of the 3-year agreement, beginning in 2016 the event will pay a minimum of $5,000 to win and will include a FREE Entry into the annual Whitetail Trophy Hunt held each November at Lake of the Ozarks in which one lucky winner can walk away with more than $15,000 in cash and prizes.

“We are really excited to welcome Don and Craig Danuser and the entire group at Whitetail Trophy Hunt as partners to this great event. I have known Craig for many years and there are two things he is passionate about and that is Stock Car Racing and Whitetail Deer Hunting so it was a great way for us to spread his message and help both organizations grow their events in a positive manner.” stated Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson

Along with the addition of Whitetail Trophy Hunt and the increase in the purse money, the Big Buck 50 will also see some minor rule changes including the allowance of Bert/Brinn Transmissions and the addition of (2) Lucas Oil Speedway points provisionals for 2015. The early entry deadline of $100 has also been extended to Oct. 1st. Entry Fee will be $125 after Oct. 1st and on day of event.

About the Hunt
2015 marks the 27th anniversary of the Whitetail Trophy Hunt at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Event dates will be November 14th, 15th and 16th. This tremendously popular hunt brings in participants from all over the United States and abroad. Entries are received on a first come, first served basis and limited to a maximum of 230 hunters.

Missouri holds the world record for non-typical whitetail deer racks and the results from each year’s hunt reflects the kind of trophy deer that makes this region of the country famous. Superior deer hunting is not the only thing the Whitetail Trophy Hunt is noted for. Many hunters bring their families along to enjoy the beautiful lake area scenery, unique shops, crafts and outlet malls.

The Whitetail Trophy Hunt builds a camaraderie that brings hunters back again and again. Almost $4 million in cash and prizes has been awarded over the years to many fortunate whitetail hunters. Plus, the five year Show-me Showdown is in its fifth and final year for the 2015 hunt. This promotion will provide an additional cash bonus prize fund that can go up to $55,000. That makes the 2015 hunt REALLY special!
