Billy Moyer Jr. Takes Second-Straight COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Victory

Comp-Cams-Super-Dirt-SeriesLocust Grove, Arkansas (09/05/15) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil returned to Mooney Starr’s Batesville Motor Speedway on Saturday evening, where hometown racer, Billy Moyer Jr. dominated the event to score his second $3,000 triumph in as many nights.

Billy Moyer Jr. earned the New Vision Graphics Pole Position for the 30 lap feature with Clay Fisher starting alongside. Moyer Jr. snared the lead at the drop of the green flag with Fisher, Tyler Erb, Stacy Taylor, and Jack Sullivan in pursuit.

By lap 9 the leaders were in lapped traffic, and Moyer Jr. masterfully negotiated the 3/8 mile oval to race his way to his second win in as many nights during the Triple Crown with the CCSDS. Clay Fisher, Tyler Erb, Stacy Taylor, and Wendell Wallace completing the top five.

Tyler Erb won GRT Race Cars Heat Race #1 with Billy Moyer Jr. winning Allen Manufacturing Heat Race #2. Jack Sullivan raced to victory in ROCKHARD Powder Coating Heat Race #3.

The Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award went to Wendell Wallace for passing seven cars to finish 5th. Timothy Culp was the recipient of the Wilwood Tough Break of the Race Award after battling handling issues.

The weekend draws to a close on Sunday, September 6th at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) as the CCSDS competitors invade the ¼ mile oval for the third time in 2015. Bub McCool and Hunter Rasdon have taken honors in the first two events. The $1,500-to-win, Buddy Roncali Memorial accompanies the program for the Street Stocks. Also in action will be NeSmith Crate Late Models, Modifieds, and Pure Stocks.
